Information We Collect

We collect account details such as name, username, email address, phone number, role, taxi company relationship, driver profile details, vehicle information, ride requests, pickup and destination coordinates, ride status, ride history, reviews, support messages, push notification subscriptions, and technical data needed to keep the service secure.

If you use Google or Facebook login, we receive the basic profile information permitted by that provider, such as your name, email address, and provider account identifier.

How We Use Information

We use information to create and protect accounts, connect customers with taxi companies and drivers, calculate ride estimates, show live ride and vehicle status, send transactional notifications, prevent misuse, provide support, improve reliability, and comply with legal obligations.

Location Data

Location data is used for pickup, destination, routing, dispatch, driver availability, and ride tracking features. Customers and drivers should share location only when they want to use location-based taxi features.

Sharing

We share ride information with the customer, assigned driver, selected taxi company, and authorized company staff where needed to complete and manage a ride. We may also use service providers for hosting, authentication, email, SMS, push notifications, maps, security, analytics, and operational support.

Data Retention

We keep account, ride, company, vehicle, driver, notification, and audit information for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, protect users, and meet legal or accounting requirements. Data that is no longer required may be deleted or anonymized.

Your Choices

You may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal information by contacting [email protected]. You may also disable browser push notifications from your browser or device settings.

Children

VG Taxi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
